Luna moths represent rebirth, renewal of body and spirit, regeneration and may even symbolize the soul itself. Luna moths, like many types of moths and butterflies, are quite beautiful in appearance and have docile personalities. Their physical beauty and charm make these large moths symbols of reflection, nourishment and life.
Rachel Martin
Race Director, Founder and CEO of Forward Motion Events
Luna Run 5k was created by Rachel Martin, Founder and CEO of FORWARD MOTION, LLC. Rachel also produces the Pumpkinman Triathlon Festival and Rick's Run 5k, both also in South Berwick, Maine.
Rachel's vision was to create a company that "Creates Community through Collaboration and Connection", and Luna Run is another way to bring people together for the betterment of the community. Rachel is married to her high school sweetheart, Brad and has three awesome kids...Olivia, Ethan and Hazel. She is on the board of directors for the Marshwood Education Foundation, Common Ground Sister City Project, and has served on many school PTO's.
She is certified USA Triathlon Race Director, and assistant crew chief for the Team One Mile Race Across America 2021. She returned to Race Across America in 2022 and 2023. Passionate for making the world a better place and contributing as much as she can, Rachel challenges YOU to find your inner gifts to share! LET'S DO THIS!!!!
